D. 1962, at which meeting all members of the Board of Directors were present, the following Appropriation Resolution of The San Luis Valley Irrigation District for the ensuing year of 1963 was, on motion duly put and on roll call duly called, adopted by the Board of Directors of The San Luis Valley Irrigation Districts

The Board of Directors of THE SAN LUIS VALLEY IRRIGATION DISTRICT met at the office of the District on the 2nd day of October Ao D. 1962, for the pur-pose of holding the regular quarterly meeting of the Board, and there were present2

Also Charles R. Corlett, Attorney Vera 140 Rocker, Secretary Vance Herzog, Superintendent

and all members of the board being present, the following proceedings were had, done and entered of record.

The Board proceeded to discuss the needs of the District for the ensuing year, as well as its ability to respond to a levy, and being fully advised in the premises, Director = offered the following resolution and moved its adoption by the boards

WHEREAS, it appears it will require the sum of 0

to meet the salaries of officers and employees and tok464halln general maintenance and operating expense of the irrigation system of the District for the ensuing year; and

WHEREAS, it appears that due primarily to the failure of the spillway of the District and the immodiate necessity of rebuilding the same, as well as the replacement and conetruc-tion of necessary structures throughout the canal systex and improvements deemed necessary by the Board of Directors, additional sums will be required for these specific purposes to cover the expense of such items in the sum of

AAD BE IT FUATHER RESOLVED, that this Board of Directors certify to the Board of County Commissioners of Saguache County, the above and foregoing Annual Appropriation Resolution, being the estimate and levy for the ensuing year of 1963, under the seal of The San Luis Volley Irrigation District.

Director secondei the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution and the ayes and nays Wing called, all of the directors voted "Aye" and there being no negative vote, the President declared the motion duly carried and said resolution regularly adopted.

Director Y then presented the following resolution and moved its adoptions

CatEAS, it has become necessary for the Board of Directors of The San Lqis Valley irrigation District, to raise money for the purpose of reconstructing the spillway at the Rio Grande Reservoir; and

WHEREA, funds were not budgeted for said reconstruction and the board of directors by resolution duly passed at a regular meeting of said board held on the 7th day of August A0 D. 1962 under the provisions of CRS 1953, 149-1-29, declared an emergency to exist; and

WHEREAS, arrangements have been made to borrow the sum of money necessary to reconstruct said spillway;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and Secretor/ of The San Luis Valley Irrigation District be and they hereby are

authorised to borrow from The First National Bank of Center, Colorado the sum of $10,000000 with interest at the rate of 5% per annum, in-terest payable annually, and the principal amount thereof being pay-able on or before two years from the date that said money is actpally receiveda

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that the board of directors assure The eirst National Bank of Center, Colorado, that such tax levies as are necessary, will be spread by the Board of Directors of said District, for the repayment of the sum of money so borrowed.
