Instructions for abstracts
Presented by: (name, place of work, email address)Title of presentation: (maximum one line, e.g. gender, age and major findings, without patient’s name or date of birth)
History, investigations and major findings: focus on abnormal findings
Diagnosis: Known or unknown (if the diagnosis is known, do not reveal it in the abstract) Make the abstract as short as possible, maximum length one page.
Please send your abstract(s), by email, by August 19th to tintor@ous-hf.no Please bring your slides to the meeting as a PowerPoint file.
We will send you a confirmation when we have received your abstract(s). When presenting:
• Start with a photograph of the patient while you very briefly present the history and major findings. The best presentations are those with few slides, each of which includes a good patient photograph and a brief summary of significant findings.
• If possible present the best picture of your patient with a concise summary as your last (or next to last) slide.
• If the diagnosis is known you may present it on a slide after the audience has had a chance to make suggestions.
Depending on the number of cases, we will have 5-10 minutes for each including discussion. The case presentations “make the meeting”, thank you for your contribution!
