ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON RALPH R. WOOD
Ralph R. Wood, newly appointed manager of The Great Western Sugar Company's agricultural experiment station, is widely recognized for his broad experience in various phases of beet and seed production.
He was born in Hill City, Kansas, attended Colorado country schools at Kit Carson and Burlington and was graduated from Colorado State Uni-versity in
1941.
He also did graduate work at Colorado State.Mr. Wood served with the Sugar Plants Division, USDA, from
1936
to
1941
and entered Great Western service at Billings, Mont., in1942.
He came to the Longmont station in
1948.
Several papers by
Mr.
Wood have been published by the American Society of Sugar Beet Technologists and he is presently serving on the advisory connnittee of that organization.He is a member of Sigma Chi and Sigma Xi fraternities.
