During the past academic year you no doubt have been asked to endorse, approve, and support many University progr~:s. Some of these requests you gave but cursory notice, judging them to be of dubious value. Speaking for the faculty and students who have been working the past year on the annual Fine Arts Festival, I am making a request Hhich I believe you can supT-lort whole-heartedly.
Included Hith this memo you received a brochure explaining this year's festival and listing the program planned between i•larch 2) and April 10. I hope you vTill study the brochure, inform your students and friends of the presenta'.;ions, and,
above all, attend and support the festival yourself.
It t·JOuld cost a person $11.)0 to at:.tend the eight separate events of the festival if he Here to purchase single admissions for eacr. presentation. In order to place the festival events within the budget of faculty and students, season subscriptions are nmv being sold in the Studznt Union Activities Center at $4.75 for faculty an_: $2.75 for students. This is a saving cf $6.75 and remember, if you buy a season ticket and cannot attend one or tHo events, you may pass your ticket on to a friend.
Single admissions for all presentations tvill be sold at the door for each event but only if seating is availaLle after season admissions have been honored. Season
sub-scriptions may be purchased at the Student Ur..ion Office, at the Student Activities
Center, at l{yle' s J.'lusic Store, at Linder's Hobby and Handcraft, at the Poudre Valley Creamery, or ordered by mail from Box 52 Student Union Building or by phone from HU 2-2910.
The members of the Fine Arts Festival Comrr.ittee feel that you can, 1-Jithout qualms,
fully endorse this attem)t on the part of Colorado State University to increase
interest in the fine arts in the Fort Collins community. Committee members also feel that when you attend this year 1 s program, you will gain both personal
satisfaction and pride in CSU.
