of August 31 concerning a beet topper which would attach to a
beet puller. ·
While we thank you for your interest in the matter, wish to advise that a beet topper alone would have very
little, if any, value to the sugar beet industry. In tact,
we have had a good topper for the la.st fifteen years. fhe real problem in harvesting beets mechanically seems to be
the digging, cleaning and piling, of the topped beets.
