GAL FAGANEL is an award-winning cello performer, an acclaimed teach-er and recording artist, and a conductor. He is currently an associate pro-fessor and string area head at the University of Northern Colorado, where he greatly enjoys teaching cello, coaching chamber music, and occasion-ally conducting. With a doctorate from the University of Southern Cali-fornia, he was previously the principal cellist of the Phoenix Symphony. He has recorded for Astrum, Naxos, Potenza Music, Pucihar Music, and many radio stations. His performances have been praised in the press for “exceptionally sensitive interpretation,” his “powerful and beautiful tone,” and “brilliant virtuosity and youthful vigor.”
Cellist HEIDI MAUSBACH, a graduate of the Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, has enjoyed a fulfi lling and diverse orchestral career throughout the US. She has played with the Naples Philharmonic, the Florida Orchestra, and the Minnesota Opera before moving to Fort Collins in 2000. Currently, she is assistant principal of the Fort Collins Symphony and the Cheyenne Symphony. Heidi is a busy freelance musi-cian frequently playing in Denver and surrounding areas with Pro Musica Colorado, the Front Range Chamber Players and Colorado Bach Ensem-ble. She enjoys teaching and offers lessons at her private studio and also at Front Range Community College which will soon offer a continuing ed. Group Cello class for adults. Heidi is a founding member of Just Cham-ber Music, a local summer festival for young aspiring music students and coaches chamber music during the year at The Chamber Music Acade-my through Off the Hook Arts. In her free time, you can fi nd Heidi on the Spring Creek Trail walking her dog or kayaking with her kids and enjoying Colorado.
CHARLES C. TUCKER, a native of Boulder, Colorado, leads a dual life as attorney and cellist. In his law practice, Charles C. Tucker, PLLC in Fort Collins, he focuses on estate planning, probate, business law, and real property. His cello practice has taken him through undergraduate and graduate music degrees at the University of New Mexico and Yale School of Music and several decades as a musician and teacher.
Charles studied chamber music with the Tokyo Quartet and pianist Boris Berman. He played chamber music concerts at the 92nd Street Y and Merkin Hall in New York City. He was principal cellist of the Naples (Flor-ida) Philharmonic and performed fi ve summers each with the Santa Fe Opera and the Grand Teton Music Festival. He was principal cellist of the Fort Collins Symphony from 2000 to 2012.
Charles shares music, books, and mountain trails with cellist Heidi Maus-bach and their two children.
