N. R. McCreery, prominent Republican who carved

him-self a public service career after rising to the top in the sug·ar

beet industry, died Wednesday in Presbyterian Hospital.

West-ern Sugar Co.

He was on hand when the first crop was gr.own in the Loveland area for .±he first Great Western factory. Through the years he held a series of increasingly responsible jobs.

At the time of his death, he was consulting agriculturist to the management of the Great Western Sugar Co. The job was conferred on him in l!M3, when he retired from the strenuous responsibilities as Colorado dis-trict manager.

slon, secretary ot the Denver Election Commission, manager of the credit union ot Denver city and county employes, and various jobs in the Denver treasurer's and assessor's offices, He became Colorado district manager for the sugar company in 1920. He was active in the Ro-tary Club and the American So-ciety of Sugar Beet Technologists.

He served as president of the technological group while still Colorado district manager and was· a member of the maclrinery

de-velopment committee of the sugar industry.

he became Colorado

District anager. He is

the Rotary Club
