This course is open to students who have been accepted to postgraduate studies
Objectives
After completing the course, the student is expected to be able to:
Reflect on opportunities and challenges with eHealth
Reflect on how research in this field can contribute to improved health for individuals and at population level
Critically assess and discuss scientific papers in the research field of health informatics
Content
The course includes:
Basic concepts related to eHealth, health informatics and clinical informatics
Examples of different kinds of digital information technology used for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and research in healthcare
Example of research in the field of health informatics
Literature searching in health informatics
Assessing, presenting and discussing scientific papers in the field of health informatics
Type of Instruction
Teaching will be in the form of lectures and discussion seminars.
Examination
Presentation of an individual assignment.
The course is assessed with the grades Fail (U) or Pass (G).
Course Evaluation
At the end of the course, a course evaluation is conducted.
