WHAT CAN YOU LEARN FROM THE CRISIS?

A CONSULTING PROJECT

The Covid-19 crisis has challenged organizations and their operations in extreme ways. In response, new ways of working have been developed and tested. The

question is, how do you make sure that you leverage from this stress test? Do you have a plan to incorporate emergent innovative ways of working into a more permanent process? How should you utilize the effects that this crisis has had on your employees digital maturity? There are plenty of operational aspects to this crisis that our students can help you with!

A team of 5–6 senior SSE students, acting as consultants, can help you answer this question (or another relevant operations-related question) by analyzing a business process of your choice. In doing so, they will identify key learning points and design an implementation plan to help your organization benefit from them.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The students of the specialization in management at the Stockholm School of Economics each year engage in real life consulting projects related to organizational processes and operations. In this Live project, we encourage projects with diverse foci departing in operations. However, as we have special circumstances this year, we specifically encourage contributions that entail analysing an organizational / business process in relation to how it was adapted during the Covid-19 crisis in your organization. The analysis from our

students would focus on the following issues in regard to a process of your choice:

1. What is the nature of the process and how was it adapted due to the crisis?

2. What were the key challenges and enablers in adapting the process to the crisis situation?

3. What can be learned from the crisis a) for running the process in the future b) for making the process more resilient to future disturbances?

4. What is required to implement these changes?
