Master’s Thesis

A Master’s Thesis, 30 ECTS, is included in the degree programme. The thesis should be a research or a development project in a real company or within an organization.

The company/organization can be your own workplace, your own company or another familiar/interesting company/organization that has a project that interests you.

If possible, please answer the following questions concerning in which company you could imagine yourself doing the thesis:

Present briefly the company, the department, the place where the company operates and the company structure

If possible, present a short preliminary plan for your thesis including the following:

A preliminary description and purpose of the development/research project

For whom is the topic important? Why? (for yourself? For the company/organization? For the foreman or for someone else)?

What’s the benefit for the client and in general?

How does the company/organization get involved in the task and especially in your role in the development/research project?

All eligible applicants that have handed in a pre-task will get an invitation to the entrance exam. An invitation letter will be sent by e-mail by 21st February 2020. The entrance exam is an interview and it will be held 6th-7th April 2020. The interview will be held in Vaasa, Puuvillakuja 3 (Technobothnia, 2nd floor, room F4210). More information will be sent by e-mail to the eligible applicants.
