Economic Growth in Russia and the impact of the Financial System

The Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) has the pleasure to invite you to a presentation on Russian economics and politics with former Russian Finance Minister

Mikhail Zadornov, one of Russia 's main business politicians, on Friday, November 15, 11.00.

Mikhail Zadornov is since 2005, chairman and CEO of Russia's second largest retail bank VTB 24. Between the years 1997-99 he was Finance Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia . As a politician, he was a member of the liberal Yabloko Party and is considered one of the foremost economist and political analysts in Russia, esteemed in all camps.

On this presentation Mr. Zadornov will give his views on the state of the Russian economy , including the potential for development with associated political, structural and social problems. With his deep insights since the 1980’s, it will certainly be an exciting and informative presentation.

The presentation will be introduced and chaired by Torbjörn Becker, Director at SITE.

Time will be available for questions and answers after the presentation.

Date: Friday November 15, 11.00-12.30 Starting with registration and coffee, followed by the lecture at 11.30.
