language

This paper deals with problems of a distance course in German as a foreign language. The course was run from October 2000 to May 2001 as a joint project between Berlin Free University, Germany, and the Department of Commercial and Business Law (=Affärsrätt) at Linköping University, Sweden.

Lela-Rose Engler works as a Research Assistant for German as a Foreign Language at the Freie Universität Berlin. She is doing research on second language acquisition and distance learning.
