Abstract
Ilnoqvrst, K.-J. Notes on the Genus Pro- s,Jnacra Kieff. (Hym., Proctotrupoidea, Diapri- idae).
- Ent. Tidskr. 96: 5l-54, 1975.
The author has studied the species of Prosg' nacrn Kieff. and selected lectotypes for Prosy-
nacra giraudi Kieff. and P. nigriceps Kieff.
Prosllnocra nigriceps Kieff., the type-species of
llre genus Prosllnacru (first included specicsl,
is a Synncrrr Fcirst. and Prosytnut:rrt falls into s)'nonymv *'ith Synrrcro. It is thus necessarv-lo create a new genus for the species yiraurli Kicff.
and the aulhor proposes .Sundftolnrielln gen. n.
rritlr Prosynrtcro giruudi Kieff. as type-species.
Some years ago the late Dr. A. Sundholm and the author, having got some specimens
in Su'eden of Prosgnacra Kieff., started to study this genus. When studying the descrip- tion of Prosgnacra nigriceps Kieff., the type- species of Prosgnacro, we began to suspect
that P. nigriceps belonged to the genus
Sgtutcra, but we had to postpone solving
this problem because lve could not get on
loan the t1'pe of P. nigriceps kept in Genoa
(Iluseo Civica di Storia Naturale "Giacomo
Dolia"). Last autumn the author had the
oppoltunitl. to borrou' P. nigriceps Kieff.
from Genoa and P. giraudi Kieff. from Paris (Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle). A study of the both types unveiled that P. nigri-
cep.s belongs to the genus Synacra Fiirst.
lrut not P. giruudi. Since P. nigriceps is the t1'pe-species of Prosgnacra Kieff. this genus
falls as a synonym of Sgnacra and a nelr,'
genus must be created for P. girarrdd. The
author proposes Surtdholmiella gen. n. irr
honour of Dr'. Sundholm for his excellent contributions to the knou'ledge of the super-
family Proctotrupoidea.

"Prosynacra nigriceps" u'ritten by Kieffer and a second label "Prosynacra nigriceps"

'o5 (leg. K.-J. Hedqvist) the author has a
female, which he thinks is the female of
Sgnacra nigriceps.
The specimen is similar to the male of Sgnacra nigriceps but has antenna u'ith 12
segments. Occipital margin on lower side of head (see fig. 2 B) bordered with flocculent pubescence, on each side of pronotum with
a tuft of flocculent pubescence as well as
