MASTER IN BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT: THEORY IN PRACTICE

LIVE PROJECTS

The Master in Business and Management (MBM) attracts students with various backgrounds from all over the world. It is angled from a business development perspective, which means that focus is about developing a firm’s competitive position, its processes, people and products, its networks and resources. Business development mixes theory and practice and includes areas such as market, strategy and leadership to be managed in order to succeed.

WE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR COMPANIES TO TAKE ON LIVE PROJECTS

The arrangement that we plan for is that students work in groups at a company to carry out their live projects on five or six Wednesdays in each study period. Other days the students are on site at SSE, with teaching, seminars, and working with individual and group related tasks.

VALUE FOR THE COMPANY

• Companies re- ceive a relevant analysis that can add new perspec- tives to business

• A close contact with the school’s top students

• Physical as well as digital exposure

• A broad and proven recruit- ment base

EXPECTATIONS ON THE COMPANY

• Appoints a dedi- cated contact person who can communicate with the students and us

• Has an idea of how the project can contribute to concrete business benefits

• Plans and sets aside 5–6 Wednesdays

• No compensation for students

no.1

in the Nordic countries

The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is one of  Europe’s leading business schools. We have been ranked as the no. 1 business school in the Nordic and Baltic countries over ten years in a row by the Financial Times.

• The students choose together with their contact person a model/theory to be investigated and analyzed. For example, a business model, a competition analysis or an operations strategy analysis.

• The results are presented to the company at the end of each period.
