®power wheelchair with TrueTrack technology has the flexibility and function to accommodate a variety of drivers with diverse needs and take them where they need to go in style. The revolutionary TrueTrack system makes power chair control easier than ever, while exposed suspension, aluminum mag wheels and a wrap-around battery enclosure provide sporty, rugged good looks. Available with a variety of options, the Arrow is everything you could ask for in a power chair – and so much more.
TrueTrack
*Technology
(optional)The TrueTrack driving system is based on recent breakthroughs in Gearless-Brushless GB™technology. This patent-pending technology accurately translates the driver’s commands and helps keep the power chair on a true forward path – even on slopes, thresholds and uneven terrain.
FEATURES
• Utilizing the internal sensors of the GB motors, the TrueTrack controller monitors and controls wheel speed, ensuring a forward path
• TrueTrack significantly minimizes the need for veer correction, so maintaining fine control requires less effort for joystick and switch drivers alike
• Non-proportional drivers track straight when a forward command is given, greatly minimizing the fatigue of correcting while driving
* Available only with GB motors.
On a slope, the 3G Storm Series with TrueTrack (right) maintains a straight path while the chair with gear motors (left) veers downward with the incline.
Drive Systems
GB Motor Technology
(standard)
The Gearless-Brushless GB™ motor resolves many of the problems associated with traditional power chair motors. It solves the tracking problems that can arise on varying terrain, and is more efficient, more powerful, and quieter. Since the GB motor operates with almost no
friction, it needs less service and fewer repairs than any other power chair motor. This saves time and money for the user and the provider alike.
FEATURES
• Fundamental to the TrueTrack function, GB technology provides accurate control of wheel speed, which in turn ensures an exact and effortless execution of the drive command
• The powerful motor provides a 12% speed increase, for speeds up to 8.5 mph
• Highly efficient, with 85% of the motor’s energy going directly to chair motion, increasing the range per battery charge
• Chair drives with minimal operating noise
• 5-year limited motor warranty Heavy-Duty 4-Pole Motor Package* (optional)
To provide the additional power that heavy-duty users need, the Arrow utilizes a Heavy-Duty 4-Pole motor.
This durable motor package is approximately 30% more powerful than traditional motors, making it ideal for very active users or those weighing up to 400 pounds.
FEATURES
• 4-Pole design offers twice the brush life of 2-Pole or 2-Brush motors
• Durable gearbox offers true gear reduction for higher torque
• Maximum speed of 4.5 mph
• 400-lb. weight capacity
*TrueTrack driving system not available with 4-Pole motors.
Suspension
Monroe®Spring Shock
(standard)
• Independent rear suspension is vertically oriented for maximum shock absorption
• Monroe Spring Shock system allows for up to 2 inches of movement to absorb impact and provide maximum clinical comfort and function
Shock Fork(optional)
• Designed for 8'' casters, the shock fork utilizes elastomers which can be changed to provide optimal absorption for all available weight categories
Electronics
MKIV
• MKIV A electronics are standard on the Arrow
• MKIV and MKIV TrueTrack*
controllers are the foundation of the most advanced power chair driving system in the industry
• The MKIV provides a wealth of programming options to help virtually any user drive safely and confidently
• The MKIV interfaces with an incredible range of driver inputs, including multiple-size joysticks, Touchpad technology, Peachtree proportional head control, Sip N’ Puff controls and all ASL non-proportional driver controls
• TRCM or TAC units can interface with the MKIV system to allow full control of Invacare® 2G Tilt and Recline powered seating systems
• The MKIV auxiliary output module (COM12/COM34) offers op to 5 switch closures and 4 ports for control of
communication devices, computers and other auxiliary devices
• Windows®-based MKIV one2one software provides invisible and intuitive programming by converting even the most advanced clinical and functional questions into driving programs
• Patented laptop IVS software allows the provider (via direct connection to PC) or Invacare Technical Services personnel (via modem) to perform diagnostics on the MKIV
*Requires MKIV TrueTrack controller with GB TrueTrack technology.
The performance of the Arrow with TrueTrack is unmatched.
Flexibility
• The Arrow meets the widest range of user needs with seat sizes from 12'' x 12'' to 24'' x 22'' and an angle-adjustable back with a range of 80° to 115°
• The manual reclining back or any of the Invacare®2G Tilt and Recline powered seating systems can be easily added as more rehab options are needed
• The seat location system allows for the seat to slide along the base frame to optimize its center of gravity while maintaining traction and stability
• The drive wheel on the Storm Series base can be adjusted forward or backward for maximum maneuverability and precise center-of-gravity adjustment
