Today, China has simultaneously implemented two important policies: “
REVITALIZATION OF THE RURAL AREAS
” and “
REVITALIZING THE OLD INDUSTRIAL AREAS IN NORTHEAST CHINA
”. Against this background, I set my sights on the northeast villages with industrial heritage. Compared with the villages
that have been given an impression, such villages not only have agriculture, but also exist or have existed in industry. Therefore, the composition of the people, the form of the building and the natural village are very different. At the same time, how to reuse these areas will face more challenges
than the industrial sites within the city due to the population and economic level and the gap between the cities.
Rural revitalization mainly consists of the following three parts.
First, realize the real prosperity of farmers and broaden the path
of rural talent construction.
Second, consolidate and improve the basic rural management
system and deepen the reform of the rural land system.
Thirdly, take the development of rural industries as the starting
point and solidly promote agricultural modernization.
Since the founding of the
People's Republic in 1949, the
level of urbanization in Northeast
China has been higher than the
national average. This has long
neglected the rural areas in the
northeast.
A t t h e s a m e t i m e , s i n c e
t h e 1 9 5 0 s , t h e C h i n e s e
government has developed
forest, oil and coal resources in
northeastern China, attracting
a large number of domestic
populations to migrate to the
northeast, and many rural areas
have been developed into
industrial small towns.
However, since the 1990s, the
development of heavy industry
has stagnated, and industrial
activities in many industrial
small towns have gradually
stagnated. A large number of
factories were abandoned,
the urban population moved
outwards, and the towns were
restored to agricultural villages.
The rural population and rural area still account for a
large proportion in China. According to the latest data
released by the National Bureau of Statistics (2017),
the number of rural population in the country is 576.61
million, accounting for 41.48% of the total population.
As of 2010, the rural area has 8,868,577 square
kilometers, accounting for 92.38% of the country's total
land area.
In the early days of the founding of the People's
Republic of China, Harbin was one of the key
industrial cities in the country. During the period of
the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the
“Southern Plant moved northward”.

WITH SOME MANMADE REASONS, SONGJIANG COPPER MINE HAS TO BE CLOSED. ALMOST ALL THE STAFFS ARE URGE TO BE RETIRED. THERE WAS A HUGE LOSS ON POPULATION ANF FINACE OF SONGJIANG TOWN.
DUE TO THE CLOSURE OF THE COPPER MINE, A LARGE NUMBER OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES WERE LOST IN THE SITE. IN ORDER TO FIND NEW OPPORTUNITIES, A LARGE NUMBER OF YOUNG AND MIDDLE-AGED PEOPLE MOVED TO HARBIN CITY AND BINXIAN COUNTY, AND THE POPULATION OF SONGJIANG TOWN CONTINUED TO DECREASE.
ALMOST ALL THE STAFFS WHO HAS WORK IN SONGJIANG COPPER MINE ARE OVER 65 YEARS OLD.
