ABOUT US
SSE Library is located on fl oor 5 in the main SSE building at Sveavägen 65.
The library’s mission is to be the principal information resource for SSE students, researchers and staff.
We are however also open to the public.
A library card is required to borrow books from the li- brary. You can pick up a card at the library customer service desk at your convenience.

Students with some kind of reading diffi culties have the possibility to request books in audio book or Braille form from the Swed- ish Agency for Accessible Media.
If you encounter any books that you think we should add to our collection, please let us know. We are always happy to receive suggestions.
If you cannot fi nd the books or journal articles you need at the library, we can bor- row them for you from other libraries as interlibrary loans.

Book loans are for 30 days. The exceptions are all books belonging to the Course Book and Career Center Collections, which can only be borrowed for 7 days.
A loan can be renewed as long as no one else has requested the book.
As shelf space in the library is limited, we have parts of our book collection stored in closed stacks. These books must be ordered in advance. You can request them from the online catalog or by contacting the library.
E-books can be accessed through the library website.

Scopus
Scopus is an abstract and citation database. It cov- ers about 16,000 peer- reviewed journals includ- ing 1200 Open Access journals, 520 Conference Proceedings, 650 Trade Publications and 315 book series. Most references going back to 1996, 25%
of the references are pre- 1996.
Web of Science
A scientifi c indexing service containing a wide collec- tion of citation indexes in the sciences, social sci- ences and art & humanities.
Over 71 million records and more than 20,300 journals. Originally pro- duced by the Institute for Scientifi c Information (ISI).
Journal Citation Reports
Journal performance metrics, including Impact Factor. An analytical tool for evaluating and comparing journals us- ing citation data drawn from about 7,500 scholarly and technical journals.

The American Economic As- sociation’s comprehensive resource to the world’s eco- nomic literature. EconLit uses the JEL classifi cation system and controlled vocabulary of keywords to index the most sought-after economics publications, including peer- reviewed journal articles, working papers, books, col- lective volume articles, confer- ence proceedings and book reviews. Contains nearly 1.3 million records and coverage as far back as 1886.
Palgrave Dictionary of Economics
Written by leading fi gures in the fi eld including many No- bel prize winners, the Palgrave Dictionary of economics is the defi nitive scholarly reference work for economists. Contains over 3,000 individual articles.
NBER working papers
Full text archive of working pa- pers from the National Bureau of Economic Research.

The library holds a large number of handbooks in both physical and elec- tronic form. We have all the important titles from publishers such as:

HANDBOOKS
OECD i-library
OECD’s online library for books, papers and statistics and the gateway to OECD’s analysis and data. You can conduct searches, and choose to download selected titles in various formats, or selected statistical data in spreadsheet format. Access is available for titles published from January 1998 and onwards.
IMF eLibrary
Direct access to all IMF’s periodicals, books, working papers and studies, as well as data and statistical tools. In- cludes the International Fincan- cial Statistics database.
STATISTICS
World Bank e-Library
One of the most comprehen- sive collections in the area of social and economic develop- ment. Books, reports and other publications form the World Bank covering primarily social and economic conditions in development countries.
Statista
An online statistics, market research and business intel- ligence portal. It provides access to data from market and opinion research institu- tions, as well as from business organizations and govern- ment institutions in English, French, German and Spanish.
The platform consists of over 1,500,000 statistics on over 80,000 topics from more than 18,000 sources. Apart from Statistics, Statista also provides data on market forecasts, white paper studies, dossiers, industry reports, digital market outlooks and consumer market outlooks.
Sweden’s Statistical Database
Contains offi cial statistics for Sweden. The statistical fi les can be downloaded. Textual databases offer background information. The database contains links to other statistical sources.
Eurostat
Data covering the European Union, its Member States and its partners, published under a variety of Themes, which include: Key EU policies indicators, General and re- gional statistics, Economy and fi nance, Population and social conditions, Industry, trade and services, Agriculture and fi sheries, External trade, Trans- port, Environment and energy, Science and technology.

Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is a research platform and business intelligence tool that provides access to several databases.

Annual Reports for companies listed at the Stockholm Stock Exchange during the period 1912 to 1978 are stored here in PDF format.
Serrano
First and foremost a database with fi nancial history on the company level. The fi nancial data is based on fi nancial statement data from the Swed- ish Companies Registration Offi ce (Bolagsverket). In addition, there is history with general company data from Statistics Sweden (SCB), bankruptcy information from the Swedish Companies Regis- tration Offi ce, and group data from Bisnode’s group register.
The Serrano Database covers most legal forms in the Swed- ish business community.
Resility
Resility is a Stockholm-based company that focuses on sustainability consulting and corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) research. Resility works with fi nancial fi rms, corporations, academic institutions, and NGOs on advancing ESG data disclosure and integra- tion into corporate analysis.

Eikon is installed on computers at the Department of Finance, Department of Economics, and Department of Accounting, as well as on two computers located in PC Lab 3 called Eikon1 and Eikon2.

Amadeus
A database of comparable fi nancial information for public and private companies across Europe. Financial informa- tion in a standardized format, combining data from over 35 sources with software for searching and analysis.
Factiva
A joint venture between Re- uters and Dow Jones, Fac- tiva offers more than 30,000 sources from 118 countries in 22 languages. Newspapers and magazines such as Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, South China Morning Post, Business Week, Fortune, Forbes, Economist, and many more. Newswires, media programs, web sites, company reports, equity prices from 85 exchanges.

In Swedish. A full text data- base covering publications vital to auditing and account- ing in Sweden. It is compiled and published by FAR, The Swedish Institute of Authorised Public Accountants.
Retriever Business
Information on Swedish com- panies. Contains fi nancial fi g- ures, including ten years of his- tory, and annual reports in PDF going back to 1999/2000.
You can compare fi gures from several companies to create a competitive analysis in PDF.
