Ingolf Ståhl is involved in a project on discrete events stochastic simulation. The focus is on the development of a simulation package, aGPSS, suitable for
teaching simulation to business students, writing textbooks on this system and developing new business applications in this system. Over 300 models and examples have this far been developed. aGPSS is used at, among many other schools, the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. He has written several books on aGPSS in collaboration with R. Born, DeKalb, Illinois. He furthermore collaborates with H. Herper, Magdeburg, and Y. Matsuyama, Tokyo, who have translated some of the aGPSS books to German and Japanese. The aGPSS project has been sponsored by the Swedish Knowledge Foundation.
