It has been so lovely working with you, and I really enjoyed our work in the BSL3. Thank you so much for your help and support. You are each such kind, positive and lovely people. It has been inspiring to watch your careers since finishing your post-docs. Ingegerd Löfving Arvholm, I am proud to be one of the long list of PhD students who had the privilege to learn from you during your career. Thank you to Cecilia and Caroline for the opportunity to participate in the aspects of the NCRSCID that I was able to, and to the students for so many interesting discussions despite the primarily virtual interactions!

Chantelle, it has been a very special journey to share with you. You have been a constant source of support and sounding board. Alex, thank you for the many coffee debriefs, words of motivation and inspiration for adventures outside of the lab.

To my Stockholm friends who have been my Swedish family since 2014, including Emma, Jesper, Bridget, Olivia, Warwick, Ewa, Dee, Wenke, Viktoria, Jasmine, June, Gustav, Birgit and Kirsten, Chantelle and of course the wonderful David, Maja and Tuva. Stockholm wouldn’t be the magical place it is without you special people. So many treasured memories.

My lovely extended family in NZ and in the UK, I treasure the time I have been able to spend with you all in England, and with Ellie while living in Europe. To my incredible, relentlessly supportive parents, Janet and Geoff, and my siblings Sarah, Chris, Lucy, and brothers-in-law Andrew and Roger, and the five best nephews and niece I could ask for: Blake, William, Taylor, Eli and Ashley-Rose. I can’t thank you all enough.
