7.18 Bedömning av provtagningsmatris
Spridningen av TCEP antas ske diffust från plastprodukter, möbler och textilier och når miljön via emission till luft, via vatten från tillverkning, formulering och användning samt via avfallsströmmar. Provtagning av TCEP bör göras i påverkat vatten med utgångspunkt från att hydrosfären är den målmatris dit spridning antas ske. Primära matriser är avloppsvatten och lakvatten från deponier. Även provtagning i inomhusmiljö är intressant, exempelvis damm och inomhusluft. Ämnet förväntas inte bioackumuleras varvid screening i biota eller humana matriser inte bedöms som primära provtagningsmatriser. Vid provtagning i biota och humana matriser anses humana prov som mer intressant eftersom ämnet troligen används i produkter i hushåll och därför kan tänkas exponeras för människa under längre tid. Provtagning i bröstmjölk kan anses som intressant då ämnet är mer lösligt i fett än i vatten. Troligen kommer ämnet även elimineras via urin vilket kan vara aktuellt. Fisk eller mussla kan vara intressanta matriser för provtagning av biota, speciellt om ämnet återfinns i avloppsvatten. Troligen transformeras ämnet snabbare i högre stående organismer så som däggdjur och fåglar. TCEP har låg förmåga att adsorberas till organiskt material och förväntas inte ansamlas i sediment eller slam. Grundvatten och dricksvatten kan vara intressanta matriser att undersöka då tidigare studier har detekterat ämnet i dessa. Se tabell 53 för prioriterade matriser.
Screening av TPPO kan vara intressant för att bekräfta om ämnet förekommer i miljön samt med tanke på bristande uppgifter. Provtagning bör i så fall primärt göras i kommunalt avloppsvatten samt eventuellt från processvatten från läkemedelstillverkning. Provtagning bör även inkludera slam. Utifrån
100 fugacitetsberäkningen antas TPPO kunna ansamlas i påverkat sediment. Provtagning av damm från
inomhusmiljö kan även vara intressant för att klargöra om det sker en diffus spriding från varor och material. Provtagning i luft, jord, biota och humana prover anses inte som direkt aktuellt till följd av ämnet låga flyktighet, användningsmönster och bioackumuleringspotential. Vid provtagning av biota anses mussla och fisk som primärt framför högre stående djur samt i vatten med antropogen påverkan. Vid humana prover anses bröstmjölk vara intressant då ämnet är mer fettlösligt, samt eventuellt urin viket är den troliga elimineringsvägen. Ytvatten kan vara en aktuell matris, speciellt vatten påverkade av avlopp och i närhet av tättbefolkade områden. Eventuell spridning av TPPO till vatten kommer troligen ansamlas i sediment.
Grundvatten anses inte vara primärt i detta läge.
Med tanke på att TMDD är relativt lösligt i vatten och använts i färg förväntas spriding ske via vatten till olika recipienter. Ämnet har även viss adsorptiv förmåga och kan till mindre del fastläggas i slam och sediment. Primära provmatriser för screening är avloppsvatten och påverkat ytvatten, men även slam och sediment. Studier på eliminering i reningsverk har efterfrågats i en vetenskaplig artikel publicerad 2010 varvid det vid den eventuell screening kan vara intressant att provta både in- och utgående vatten från reningsverk. Ämnet har ett uppmätt Log Kow på 2,8 och ett modellerat BCF och BAF på 112 respektive 107.
Ämnets struktur, dess löslighet och hydrofila grupper innebär troligen att ämnet inte är lika
bioackumulativt som beräkningen beskriver. Provtagning i biota och humana prover anses därför inte vara prioriterade matriser, dock intressant med tanke på av ämnet används i Sverige. Eventuell provtagning i biota bör göras på musslor och fisk i påverkat vatten. Vid human provtagning bör eventuella prov tas i både bröstmjölk och urin. Provtagning i luft anses inte relevant till följd av ämnets korta halveringstid i luften.
Provtagning i grundvatten anses inte prioriterat i detta skede.
