5. Slutsats

5.2 Förslag till vidare forskning

CSR-området är välstuderat och många forskare världen över har framförallt studerat sambandet mellan CSR och CFP. Vi har i denna studie kontrollerat för hur företagsstorlek påverkar detta samband i svenska börsnoterade företag. Det skulle därför vara intressant att utveckla undersökningen till flera länder och exempelvis studera hur det ser ut för samtliga börsnoterade företag i Norden. Ytterligare forskningsförslag är att undersöka om det finns andra faktorer som påverkar sambandet mellan CSR och CFP, exempelvis ägarstrukturer. Det vore därtill intressant att studera var kravet på CSR egentligen kommer ifrån, är det företagsledningen, samhället, kunderna eller de anställda som ställer dessa krav? Kan det tänkas att kraven stärks ytterligare i kölvattnet av finanskrisen? Vidare skulle det vara intressant att studera om de CSR-investeringar som görs verkligen bidrar till samhällsnyttan, eller skulle kapitalet som läggs på CSR göra bättre nytta någon annanstans? Därtill vore det intressant att se hur mycket CSR som är tillräckligt, alltså vid vilken mängd CSR börjar marginalnyttan av ytterligare CSR-investeringar att sjunka?
