Det rekommenderas att vidare studier analyserar hur företag som gått igenom
förändring från linjär till cirkulär ekonomi tycker att förändringen fallit ut. Att kunna jämföra hur hindren och möjligheterna såg ut innan implementering med de hindren och möjligheter som upplevs i verkligheten. Annan framtida forskning som hade varit intressant är att undersöka möjligheterna till konsolidering även för returflödet och inkommande gods. För att transportsystemet skall anses cirkulärt räcker det inte att nöja sig vid konsolidering endast av utgående gods. I en sådan studie kan det även vara intressant att studera de faktiska material- och informationsflödena för att se var det finns möjlighet till att konsolidera transporter.
8.2. Rekommendationer
Det som rekommenderas för företagarna är att börja med ett mindre samarbete där de skapar en nära samarbetsrelation och tillsammans bygger upp en strategi för
konsolidering av transporter. Processen för att konsolidera gods underlättar om företagen har liknande produktkrav och hinder, exempelvis livsmedelsbranschen. För att stödja samarbeten på Orust kan OKA fungera som stöd och hjälpa företagen att
37 bygga upp goda relationer. Det rekommenderas inte att direkt implementera
samarbete i stor skala då detta är alltför komplext. Därför bör företagen börja i mindre omfattning för att sedan kunna utveckla och stärka samarbeten i större skala.
