Vi har som flertalet andra studier fått fram ett resultat med en positiv korrelation mellan andelen kvinnliga styrelseledamöter och CSR. Vi har undersökt effekten kulturella skillnader kan ha på detta samband. Vi kan se skillnader mellan USA och Europa och har dragit försiktiga slutsatser utefter våra resultat. Just skillnaden mellan Europa och USA tycker vi har varit intressant och den har väckt frågor kring om det finns en brytpunkt där en ökning av andelen kvinnor i styrelsen istället ger en negativ effekt då flertalet studier även visat på att problemlösningsförmågan samt effektiviteten i en styrelse kräver en diversifierad styrelse. Vi menar därför att vidare forskning kring var den optimala andelen kvinnliga styrelseledamöter ligger och var gränsen går till att det positiva sambandet blir svagare.

När det gäller sambandet mellan ämbetstiden i styrelsen och CSR har vi svårt att dra några starka slutsatser genom att se skillnaden mellan Europa och USA. Vi kan inte på samma sätt se varför korrelationen i sambandet skiljer sig mellan Europa och USA som för sambandet mellan andelen kvinnliga styrelseledamöter och CSR. Vi efterfrågar därför fortsatt forskning på ämnet för att kunna fastställa om ämbetstiden i styrelsen har någon påverkan på företagets CSR.
