Vår studie inkluderade relativt få respondenter samt använde sig ej av ett slumpmässigt urval. Detta gör att ytterligare studier inom samma område som denna behövs för att säkerställa att de resultat vi kommit fram till stämmer även för en större population. Det

vore även intressant att jämföra vårt resultat med resultatet av en studie med utgångspunkt i engelsktalande länder rörande begreppet. Detta skulle skapa en

förståelse för skillnaderna som uppstår i översättningen av begreppet employability och påvisa ifall översättningen har någon påverkan på resultatet. Det skulle även påvisa om vårt resultat är applicerbart internationellt eller om det enbart går att applicera på svenska individer samt den svenska arbetsmarknaden.

Resultatet av studien har visat att begreppet anställningsbarhet är bristfälligt då flera av dimensionerna som inkluderas i begreppet ej uppfattas av individer som ej har läst den teoretiska definitionen av begreppet. Detta gör att det skulle behövas ytterligare

forskning kring begreppet och eventuellt att ett nytt begrepp skapas för att minska denna misstolkning.

Vidare kan framtida forskning objektivt undersöka ifall de dimensioner som

respondenterna i denna studie ser som möjlighetsskapande och möjlighetsrealiserande stämmer med resultatet i denna studie.
