Att heteronormativitet är en dominerande tolkningsrepertoar kring tillblivelse hos barnen i vår studie är inte förvånande utifrån att den också är en dominerande tolkningsrepertoar i samhället (Ambjörnsson, 2006). Samtidigt har alla barn rätt att mötas utifrån sina unika förutsättningar och villkor och därför föreslår vi att vidare forskning kring tillblivelse undersöker hur den omgivning barn möter framställer olika sätt att bli till på. Vårt resultat antyder att pappor inte är tillgängliga för barnen när det kommer till kunskap om tillblivelse och vi rekommenderar därför att vidare forskning kring detta bedrivs. Dessutom behövs överlag mer forskning om familjeformen femmisfamiljer, inte minst i Sverige.
Slutsats
Vår examensuppsats har syftat till att lyfta fram barns berättelser kring tillblivelse. De barn som har ingått i uppsatsen är 22 stycken barn mellan tre år och tio månader och nio år och nio månader, vilka antingen tillhör femmisfamiljer eller relationsfamiljer.
Med hjälp av kritisk diskursiv psykologi och dess analysverktyg har vi i analysen funnit tolkningsrepertoarer som barnen konstruerade genom sitt prat. I dessa framkom framförallt att många av barnen utgick från en heteronormativ tvåsamhet när de pratade om befruktning, även om flera av femmisbarnen utgick från en repertoar av assisterad befruktning, vilket var en repertoar som inte förekom bland relationsbarnen. Den heteronormativa tvåsamheten framställdes som det självklara, vilket får till följd att andra tillblivelsesätt betraktas som mindre eftersträvansvärda. I kontakt med barn blir det därför viktigt att förhålla sig till detta och sträva mot att inte utgå från en heteronormativ tvåsamhet utan inkludera fler likvärdiga tillblivelsesätt.
Mammor lyfts fram kring flera aspekter av tillblivelse av barnen, medan pappor framförallt lyfts fram under temat befruktning i tolkningsrepertoaren den heteronormativa tvåsamheten. Mammor beskrivs som aktiva i hela tillblivelseprocessen och lyfts fram som primära kunskapsbärare. Det fanns ingen skillnad mellan femmisbarnens och relationsbarnens beskrivningar av mammor och pappors roll, utan pappor saknas genomgående i barnens berättelser eller framställs som sekundära, exempelvis gentemot mammor och
vården. Detta tyder på att femmisbarn, i de undersökta åldrarna, har samma tillgång till kunskap om tillblivelse som relationsbarn har i dagsläget.
Slutligen konstaterar vi att sexualitet till viss del fortfarande är tabubelagt i samhället, då flera av både femmisbarnen och relationsbarnen på olika sätt uttryckte att det finns aspekter av tillblivelse som var svåra att prata om. Denna repertoar, som också återfinns i samhället, håller troligtvis på att förändras då ungefär lika många barn gav uttryck för att tillblivelse var lätt att prata om.
