Studien har visat att det arbetas aktivt med TM från ett ledarskapsperspektiv och ger därmed upphov till två riktlinjer för vidare forskning. Den första riktlinjen för vidare forskning är att det rekommenderas att undersöka TM ur ett medarbetarperspektiv och hur talangerna uppfattar hur företagen arbetar med att behålla dem. Den andra riktlinjen för vidare forskning är att undersöka om hur IT-infrastrukturen skulle kunna påverka TM-arbetet.
