Det föreslagna verktyget borde förstås testas och utvärderas empiriskt. De separata aktiviteterna skulle kunna undersökas var för sig. Till exempel skulle resultatet av urval gjort enligt verktygets riktlinjer kunna jämföras med ett urval gjort helt på intuition. Aktiviteterna problemformulering och informationsinsamling vore intressanta att studera djupare ur ett specifikt eventperspektiv.

Riktlinjerna för idégenerering skulle kunna utökas men där borde forskningsresultat från studier av kreativa processer generellt kunna bidra med tillräcklig kunskap. I min mening skiljer sig troligen inte idégenerering kring event från annan idégenerering som process. Däremot kan en mer

eventspecifik kompetens vara mer användbar i sammanhanget. Djupare studier av förutsättningarna under vilka svenska eventbyråer genomför sin FEP skulle kunna bidra till nya upptäckter som

verktyget skulle behöva anpassas till. En kontinuerlig bevakning och sammanställning av kunskapsläget och eventuell uppdatering av verktyget skulle behövas allteftersom relevant forskning går framåt. Om FEP och lyckade koncept är nyckelfaktorer för framgång i

eventsammanhang på samma sätt som i produktutveckling vore intressant att undersöka. Vikten av att blanda in användare och kunder i innovationsprocesser framförs mer och mer. Att undersöka hur detsamma kan göras vid utveckling av eventkoncept vore intressant, men en rejäl utmaning då tiden ofta är så begränsad. Att låta gästerna på något sätt bidra i utvecklingen av eventkonceptet vore att lyfta co-kreation ytterligare en nivå.
