Det finns mycket arbete kvar att göra för att försöka klargöra estetikens roll inom MDI. Det är fortfarande ett relativt outforskat område där både mer praktiskt och teoretiskt arbete behövs för att reda ut vad som kan vara användbara verktyg för att skapa mer lämpliga

interaktionsupplevelser i våra interaktiva system.

Det teoretiska ramverk som Lim et al. (2007) föreslagit verkar erbjuda en användbar modell av hur estetiska värden skapas och upplevs i interaktiva artefakter. Denna studie har försökt förtydliga hur interaktionsattributen tempo och hastighet kan manipuleras för att uppnå olika estetiska uttryck i systemets interaktionsgestalt. Det finns fortfarande ett behov av att undersöka hur de övriga attribut som inte berörts i denna studie kan användas för att skapa olika

interaktionsgestalter.

När det gäller tempo och hastighet och användandet av animationer skulle det vara intressant att i framtida studier undersöka precis hur långsamma eller snabba animationer behöver vara för att uppnå önskvärda estetiska uttryck.
