Denna uppsats finner att forskning på demokratiseringen av Mongoliet är ett väl under-sökt område men att det fortfarande finns vetenskapliga brister att utveckla för att helt kunna förklara processen. Framförallt är det civila samhället ett alltför outforskat område. Informationen som finns ger en bild av ett samhälle som påverkat men ingående fakta och vidden av dess effekt är ter sig dåligt dokumenterad. Informationen finns mer troligt att finna ur förstahandskällor skrivna på Mongoliska vilket kan vara en förklaring på var-för andra faktorer givits en större roll. Det kvarstår dock att det civila samhället i Mon-goliet förtjänar att få sin rättmätiga roll i demokratiseringsprocessen undersökt.
En annan faktor för framtida forskning är den som uppsatsen benämner i nya upptäckter. Något som kan vara intressant är att se om denna tanke finns närvarande i andra fall eller om den kan falsifieras och att andra teorier som exempelvis konvergens därför måste utredas för att förklara vad som låg bakom utvecklandet av värderingar och det civila samhällets engagerande för demokratiseringen i Mongoliet.
Att ekonomisk utveckling tagit en så stor plats i demokratiforskning är något som i en allt mer globaliserad värld möjligen bör ses över. Teknik och internationell kommunikation blir alltmer lättillgänglig och har möjlighet att påverka på ett nytt sätt än tidigare. Vilket i vissa fall av demokratisering möjligen gjort ekonomisk utveckling mindre avgörande än vad den i teori påståtts ha. Något som detta troligt lett till är att en demokrati som uppstår utan ekonomisk utveckling genast anses så avvikande. Trotts att demokratiforskning fast-ställt att processer mot demokrati måste ses som unika.
