• Använd alla sinnen för att upptäcka den orolige patienten. Verbal och icke verbal kommunikation.
• Skapa tid och utrymme för den perioperativa dialogen.
• Värna om patientens komfort och värme.
• Inbjud och uppmuntra patienten att uttala sina önskningar och olika behov.
• Använd informativ kommunikation som ett sätt att förbereda patienten mentalt.
Undvik överraskningar.
