För att förbättra sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att börja jobba på en pediatrisk avdelning behövs ett större nationellt förbättringsarbete i mottagandet från arbetsgivare samt optimering av grundutbildningen. På så sätt kan nyutbildade sjuksköterskor i framtiden känna sig mer trygga i arbetet med sjuka barn. En trygg och välfungerande inskolning samt ett välutvecklat mentorskap behövs för att underlätta nyutbildade sjuksköterskors första tid inom pediatrisk vård.
