De tio informanternas upplevelser i föreliggande studie ger behandlande läkare och sjuksköterskor en vägledning i hur kommande patienter kan förväntas uppleva behandlingstiden. Framöver kommer ett antal nya läkemedel mot hepatit C registreras. Efter en 25 årig historisk resa med hepatit C och behandling är detta början på något nytt. Med fynden i åtanke skulle det vara intressant att utföra en kvantitativ studie med ett större antal deltagare. Förslagsvis mäta livskvaliteten före, under och efter behandling med olika livskvalitetsskalor och se om det finns skillnader till exempel mellan män och kvinnor, ålder, fibrosstadium, olika genotyper.
