7.2 Kritik till eget arbete
Under arbetets gång har författarna även kommit till insikt med vissa brister i studien och den metod som används för dess tillkomst.
Kritiken består av att studien endast omfattar en mycket begränsad tidsperiod.
Eventuella omständigheter som endast varit gällande under denna period kan därav ha inverkat på studiens resultat. Därutöver kan kritik riktas mot vissa att studiens mått.
Måttet för styrelsenätverk kan ses som ett mått med relativt låg validitet då författarna endast ser om ledamöterna sitter i många styrelser och inte om de sitter i samma styrelse eller deras möjlighet att påverka styrelsens beslut. Måttet kan dock antas ge en viss indikation på omfattningen av ledamöternas nätverk.
Likaså kunde optionsmåttet varit mer omfattande för att spegla optionsprogrammens egentliga funktion. Måttet på ägarsfärer var inte heller tillräckligt djupgående, då det inte riktigt speglar den interna arbetsmarknaden som antas kunna uppstå inom ägarsfärer.
