Uppsatsen tredje aspekt Bland äktenskap mätts genom frågan (Kan du tänka dig att gifta dig med någon som tillhör en annan grupp än din egen) (se fråga 10 i biliga 1). Detta kan ha påverkat negativt undersökningens resultat, eftersom frångan är lite otydligt för de som redan är gifta. Detta kan ha påverkat mäns och kvinnors svar för att skriva att de inte är beredda att gifta sig med individer som tillhör en annan grupp, men detta kan ha påverkat mest negativt kvinnors svar eftersom en gift kvinna liksom i alla andra länder inte kan gifta sig med någon annan så länge hon är gift, men för en gift man är det tillåten att gifta sig med någon annan enligt islamiska lagar, detta även om man har på senare tid reglerat om äktenskaps lag.

Man kunde gå djupare in i ämnet genom att göra djupa intervjuer om hur respondenterna beskriver sina relationer med individer tillhörande andra etniska grupper. Man kunde då få ytterligare förklaringar till icke-skillnader i interetniska relationer mellan män och kvinnor. Men på grund av brist på tid och utrymme fanns det inte denna möjlighet.

Resultatet från denna undersökning och från min c-uppsats visade att det inte finns någon skillnad mellan mäns och kvinnors interetniska relationer, detta även om många av de tidigare studierna visade att det finns skillnad mellan män och kvinnor i olika områden, samt även om det finns skillnad mellan män och kvinnor i Erbil och i Kirkuk inom olika områden,

kvinnor och män är inte jämställda i många avseenden, därför förväntade jag mig att det skulle finnas skillnader mellan män och kvinnor interetniska relationer också. Det är därför intressant att vidare forska historisk kvinnors respektive mäns förändrade sociala roller i samhället.
