8.3 Praktisk överförbarhet
Ejvegård (2003, s 56) förklarar att reliabilitet är tillförlitligheten på studien och användbarheten av en viss undersökning. Patel och Davidsson (2003, 71ff) står bakom detta argument och förklarar vidare att för att påvisa en hög användbarhet ska en studie kunna genomföras om och om igen vid en annan tidpunkt, med samma reslutat. Författaren anser att det kan vara svårt att genomföra studien om ett antal år och få samma reslutat då tiderna på marknaden ständigt förändras och affärssystem utvecklas. Dock hävdar Stuart (1996, s 13) som författaren diskuterat i teorikapitlet att organisationer kan ta vara på varandras erfarenheter vid implementerandet av ett affärssystem. Detta betyder att företag kan nyttja uppsatsen och de erfarenheter som respondenterna bidragit med för att underlätta vid en omstrukturering. Detta anser författaren ökar studies överförbarhet och även den praktiska användbarheten. Även Johansson – Lindfors stödjer detta och hävdar att överförbarheten syftar till att även organisationer som ej medverkat i studien skall kunna förstå och ta till sig resultatet av studien för att bättre förstå sin egen verklighet.
