Föreliggande litteraturstudie har bidragit med en bild över bemötande och vårdande av

personer med EIPS och liknande ohälsa utifrån vårdpersonalens och patientens perspektiv och kan användas som underlag för diskussion. Att belysa dessa aspekter kan vara ett sätt att medvetandegöra såväl brister som styrkor i vårdandet av denna patientgrupp. Detta kan i sin tur öka kunskapen hos personalgruppen och möjliggör ett steg i rätt riktning för

evidensbaserad vård.

Slutsats

Vårdpersonal, däribland sjuksköterskor, kunde uppleva såväl frustration som bristande kunskap i bemötande och vårdande av personer med EIPS och liknande ohälsa. Negativa attityder hos vårdpersonal i vårdandet bekräftades av både vårdpersonal och patienter. Dessa aspekter kunde leda till stort vårdlidande hos patienten. Att minska lidandet hos patienten kunde göras genom att få patienten att känna sig delaktig i sin vård, känna sig hörd samt att ha ett respektfullt sätt gentemot patienten.
