Generellt har self-checkouts en onekligen potential att konkurrera bort kassapersonal, men tekniken ¨ar fortfa- rande ny, men under utveckling, f¨or att g¨ora ett aktuellt hot. Behovet av kassapersonal kommer troligtvis att minska, mot att jobb som kundtj¨anst och IT-personal att blomstra. Skribenten av [12] menar att samh¨allet kan hindra tekniken fr˚an att expandera, d˚a m˚anga anst¨allda kan f¨orlora sina jobb och inte kan f¨ors¨orja sig l¨angre.

Slutsats

Utifr˚an resultatet och diskussionen kan slutsatsen dras att projektet har levererat en funktionell prototyp av en smartare kundvagn. Efter vidareutveckling av de f¨oreslagna id´eerna i diskussionen kan produkten s¨attas i produktion och leverans.

Uppvisningen vid slutpresentationen visade att produkten fungerar som den ¨ar avsedd, enligt kravspeci- fikationen (sektion 1.6).

Den uppt¨ackte och identifierade alla varor som placerades framf¨or kameran och registrerade dessa varor. Varornas namn, styckpris och summan av det totala priset av registrerade varorna visualiserades i Applika- tionen. Indikeringslampor, runt vagnen, lyste r¨ott vid f¨ors¨ok till fusk samt en varningsmeddelande visades p˚a sk¨armen. Varningsmeddelanden f¨orsvann s˚a snabbt felet r¨attats till och indikeringslamporna lyste gr¨ont.
