Arbetet har bidragit till diskussionen om hur drönare kan arbeta tillsammans i grupp för att lösa problem, och har ämnat att medverka till vidare konceptidéer för detta område. Rapporten har presenterat hur metaforer kan användas för att hämta inspiration från naturen för att implementera på tekniken, i det här fallet drönare som arbetar i en räddningsinsats. Resultatet visar att en blandning mellan lagarbete och flockbeteende ter sig vara mest framgångsrikt, då främst användningen av en ledare sågs som kritiskt. Detta stämmer överens med ett flertal studier, men motsäger även ett antal andra. Mer forskning bör göras inom området där det också tas hänsyn till andra aspekter såsom ekonomiska och tekniska möjligheter samt begränsningar.
