4.3 Slutsats

Barnen i denna studie har lägre total energiförbrukning och lägre aktivitetsrelaterad

energiförbrukning ett år efter att de blivit inskrivna på överviktsenhet samtidigt som de blivit mer överviktiga. De har inte blivit mer fysiskt aktiva då de minskat sin energiförbrukning och fått en ogynnsam förändring på kroppssammansättningen. Om de blivit mer överviktiga på grund av minskad energiförbrukning eller om energiförbrukningen har blivit mindre på grund

av att de blivit mer överviktiga kan denna studie inte svara på. Denna studie kan inte heller svara på om de hade blivit ännu mer överviktiga om de inte varit inskrivna på

överviktsenheten. Med tanke på studiegruppens storlek bör detta resultat tolkas med

försiktighet och vidare forskning om hur fysisk aktivitet påverkar uppkomst och förekomst av barnfetma behövs.
