Baserat på fördjupad litteraturgenomgång dras slutsatsen att fyra immunologiska metoder för analys av chromogranin A i plasma och serum dominerar inom forskningsvärlden, men däremot kan ingen golden standard fastställas. Utveckling har gått från radioaktiv manuell till icke- radioaktiv automatiserad analysmetod med en kraftigt förkortad analystid. Metodverifieringen, för chromogranin A analys med KRYPTOR, visade god mellanliggande- respektive inomserieprecision. Det otillräckliga provunderlaget i jämförelse med annan analysmetod samt med samma metod på annat laboratorium resulterade i låg reliabilitet.

Vi är två biomedicinska analytikerstudenter från Hälsohögskolan i Jönköping som gör vårt examensarbete på klinisk kemi, Ryhov.
Vårt arbete består av att verifiera analys av chromogranin A på ett nyinköpt instrument. Idag skickas alla beställningar på chromogranin A till kemilaboratoriet i Uppsala. Tanken är att analysen fortsättningsvis ska utföras på Ryhov.
Vi vänder oss till dig som redan ska ta blodprov för analys av chromogranin A och undrar om du kan tänka dig att ställa upp och lämna ett extra blodprovsrör till vår studie?
Det extra blodprovsröret kommer att avidentifieras, vilket innebär att de inte går att spåra tillbaks till givaren. Ditt beställda chromogranin A- svar kommer inte att påverkas, eftersom det ordinarie röret skickas enligt gällande rutiner till Uppsala för analys.
