VIDARE FORSKNING

Eftersom reshoring är ett outforskat område behövs mer forskning. Det behövs göras mer studier som denna, om drivkrafter och möjliggörare till reshoring, för att få en djupare förståelse för dessa aspekter och för att kunna bekräfta resultatet i denna studie. Vidare behövs också forskning med olika typer av företag då denna studie har indikerat att företagens förutsättningar påverkar vad som driver och möjliggöra reshoring. Det behövs också forskning där ägandeskap tas hänsyn till, något som inte gjordes i denna studie. Det behövs också mer forskning kring svårigheter svenska företag upplever samt de resultat som uppnåtts med reshoring. Det saknas också kalkyler och beslutsunderlag svenska företag kan använda sig av vid lokaliseringsbeslut, studier om vilka faktorer och kostnader som bör tas i beaktning vid reshoring behöver också genomföras.
