Efter litteraturstudien saknas forskning kring Leanimplementeringar i hela, eller i större delar av organisationer i välfärdsbranschen. Till exempel större Leanimplementeringar där sjukhus använder sig av fler Lean verktyg och metoder. Det finns flera områden inom sjukvården som är intressanta att undersöka. Det skulle exempelvis vara intressant att undersöka effektiviseringsarbetet på de delar av ett sjukhus som inte har med patienter att göra? Vad för arbete görs kring exempelvis inköp och lagring av vardagliga artiklar på ett sjukhus?

Något som saknas inom både välfärds- och servicebranschen är verktyg som används för teamwork. Med tanke på att vissa källor beskrev hur arbetstagare upplevde att den föreliggande hierarkin hade försvunnit eller minskat på arbetsplatsen hade det varit intressant att fortsätta forska kring vilka fler effekter ett sjukhus kan få om de använder sig av till exempel ringi och involverar större delar av ett sjukhus i sina beslut?

Det vi även har sett i många artiklar är att Leanverktyg nämns, men det beskrivs däremot inte hur de används. Med fler artiklar som tar upp hur verktygen faktiskt används för just den branschen skulle det finnas ett bättre material att analysera. Genom att tydligare få veta hur organisationerna använder verktygen skulle det öppnas upp för att hitta likheter och olikheter på de delar där implementeringen inte fungerat i de olika branscherna.

Under tiden källor till tidslinje-grafen samlades så sållades en stor del med artiklar kring ”Lean construction”. Om en liknande studie som denna görs så är det en väldigt intressant bransch att ta med.
