INCREASES FEED
UTILIZATION
Beet pulp has the unique capacity to absorb liquids in the rumen and to expand, distributing the rest of the ration for more complete digestion. Addition of beet pulp to a ration cuts down on through put of undigested grain.
A CONCENTRATE
Meets the TON requirements for high concentrate rations. When you have a highly digestible fiber, such as found in beet pulp, it is just as though the feed were high in starch, like corn. Economical replace-ment for up to one-third of the grain in the ration.
A ROUGHAGE
Beet pulp is high in fiber and the fiber is highly digestible. In addition to supplying indigestion and bloat preventing bulk, it makes a real contribution to the roughage factor. Its presence in the ration diminishes the need for silage or hay.
A CONDITIONER
A favorite ingredient for show cattle which promotes good health and improves appearance.
ENCOURAGES WATER
CONSUMPTION
Beet pulp encourages proper consumption of the most necessary and lowest cost of all feeds-water.
PALATABLE
Adds palatability and variety to the ration. Cattle go on feed easier and stay on it better.
DESIRABLE
CARCASSES
Helps produce desirable carcasses with firm white fat.
DOES NOT REQUIRE
PROCESSING
No additional processing costs. Replacing a part of the grain or the grain and roughage in the ration with beet pulp will reduce the demand on these processing and handling systems (both equipment
and labor).
REDUCES
CAPITAL TIE-UP
Buy and pay for beet pulp as needed. It is not necessary to invest as heavily in inventories ofhigh-moisture grain, silage or hay.
