The many friends of Charles F. Mann throughout Great Western territory were saddened by hie death Augaat 29 at ~illinga. Mr. Mar.m, 61 years old, had served the Billings faetery organization for 43 years, starting as a beet clerk in 1911,. then holding various agricultural positions and becoming assistant manager in 1930.
Following hie death, Irwin L. Johnson, who, since 1952, had been serving as assistant Billings manager in charge of the Chinook area and living. at Great Falls, was transferred to the Billings office as assistant manager.
Mr. Johnson, familiarly known as "Red", grew up on his parents• farm-near Julesburg, Colo., and attemded elementary and high schools at Sedgwick. He was graduated from Colorado A & Min 1940 and the same year was married to Mias Shirley Liggett. They have two children, Charles, 11, and Cheryl, 7-. He entered Great Western service in 1940 as apprentice fieldman at Billings, then worked on the Fromberg farm and, after returning to Billings as fieldman in 1941, was transferred the next year to Longioont as fieldman. In 1944 he went to Fort Colline as fieldman, and iIJ 1952 was transferred to the northern-M::>ntana district as assistant manager. Mr. Johnson holds membershi~ in two honorary agricultural fraternities, Alpha Zeta and Alpha Tau Alpha. He is a member of the Methodist church, the Elke lodge, and has belonged to various clubs in the communities where he has lived.

Leonard M. Johnson, nev soiotant manager at Brighton, was born at Eaton, Colorado, son of the late Albert and Julia Johnson and grew up on
