As a third author, my major contribution consisted of the reviewing the relevant literature. The authors contributed equally to the introduction, theoretical section, and conclusions. The other authors conducted the primary analysis, and wrote the first version of the analysis section.

Innovative value creation and capture mechanisms
As a second author, my major contribution consisted of reviewing relevant literature and the conceptual developments that arose from the joint cross-case analysis. I also substantially supported the writing of the methodological and empirical sections. We contributed equally to the remaining parts of the paper.

Managerial cognition & the Social BM concept
I was the main author of Paper 3. The second author provided additional case material (case 4). I was able to draw on valuable feedback from my co-author with regards to the conceptual development. 1/2 IV Social BM Development Co-creation in BoP markets

I was the main author of Paper 5. I drew on valuable feedbacks from my co-author as the synthesis of multiple theoretical themes proved challenging. The co-author also provided other forms of feedback at various stages of the manuscript development.
