Instruction for booking transport of goods by road – outside of Sweden

This instruction is intended to facilitate for suppliers to the Trafikverket when booking transports of goods outside of Sweden on assignment from the Trafikverket Inköp och Logistik (freight purchaser).

1. Freight services outside of Sweden Groupage (shipments from 1-2499 kgs)

DB Schenker System Groupage is to be sent as general cargo since Parcel do not work for recipient freight for import

Date of arrival according to the timetable Extra services:

Dispatch Notification

The carrier contacts the cargo recipient for agreement on the date of arrival.

Direct (shipments >2500 kgs)

DB SCHENKER Direct

Date of arrival, mainly according to the timetable for groupage shipments

Extra services:

Unloading time Arrival on the agreed date and time +/- 30 minutes

Dispatch notification The carrier contacts the cargo recipient for agreement on the date of arrival.

2 Booking of transports to Sweden Parcels, Groupage and direct shipments

DB Schenker is the Trafikverket shipping agent for transports outside of Sweden. DB Schenker defines the freight as an import (shipment sent to Sweden from Europe).

Booking is carried out directly at DB Schenker’s offices booking

Used Trafikverket*’client number when making the booking.

It is important that the carrier gets a notification with the same freight terms as on the Trafikverket order. (Incoterms/Combiterms)

Always check that the number of days for the transport and the chosen service works between the dispatch and recipient locations, to secure that the delivery gets to the recipient on the right date.

Date of arrival is the day when the cargo arrives at the cargo address.

Note that if the extra service “Dispatch Notification” is used, the arrival date will be later, since stock management of the cargo will be performed at a terminal. It is important to consider this when booking transport with “Dispatch Notification”!

Freight documentation and labels are printed through a transport administrative system, e.g. PacsoftOnline, Web-TA, or on the shipping agent's website.

To use other services than the timetable service, contact Trafikverket Logistic, these are booked from Sweden by DB Schenker.

Booking of unloading time must be carried out through e-mail or phone at the local DB Schenker office, at the latest the day before collection. The time must always be agreed upon for each unique unloading time.
