DEWETRON is part of the AUGUSTA Technologie AG located in Munich. AUGUSTA Technologie AG is a listed tech- nology group with the focus on the global and long-term growing niche markets for sensors and automation tech- nology.
In shortest Time to highest Quality Test and Measurement Data
DEWETRON systems help users to produce highest quality test and measurement data in shortest time. Both, our hardware and software are optimized to support this general target. How?
The hardware offers vastly different signal inputs like analog, digital, counter/encoder, video, GPS and various bus systems like CAN bus which are all recorded perfectly synchronized. Thus data analysis can be done very easily.
Additionally a picture paints a thousand pieces of data. Of course sensor connection is matched to practical needs, that´s why we offer various connector options for most inputs.
The software contributes by its ease of use and powerful features. Setup of the amplifiers is a matter of a few clicks and sensors can either be automatically setup by TEDS or chosen from a sensor database. You can record as easily as pressing the STORE button, or as elaborately as having separate – even multiple – triggers on each input chan- nel. Once data are stored, press ANALYZE and you can replay it to the screen as easily as replaying a movie, with PLAY controls. Cursors can be used to zoom in and inspect specific areas of interest. In a matter of seconds nice looking reports can be printed. If you are using 3rd party analysis software you are also well served, export of the whole recording or just the interesting part to many different file formats is supported. So you can e.g. keep your Excel® spreadsheets.

Quality
Our commitment to Total Quality Management is based on the understand- ing of what is important for the success of our cus- tomers. It starts with the definition of the technical specification, covers the development, production, quality control, shipment, and ends with support and service of our systems dur- ing operation.
DEWETRON is ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified.
Environmental and quality management is more than just a compliance issue for us; it is an integral part of our business operations.
We take quality very seriously! That is why we have our own environmental test facilities in our building in Austria, where all DEWETRON products are tested repeatedly at several stages. Prototypes are tested for EMC, EMI, RFI, temperature extremes, shock and vibration. This helps us identify and correct problems before we start production.
Each revision is tested until the DEWETRON quality standards are met. In addition if traceability is required we use certified labs for even more robust and compliance testing.
Total Quality Management
We have established a Quality Management framework that defines processes and assures the proper execution.
It incorporates the responsibility of our employees and enables efficient execution across all parts of our global organization.

Company Profile
Calibration
DEWETRON maintains two top-notch calibration facili- ties with the same equipment: one at our worldwide headquarters in Austria, and another one at DEWETRON USA in Rhode Island. Our cal lab is based on the Fluke 5500 series calibrator, and we run the METCAL calibra- tion system, which allows us to automate nearly every process.
For customers running their own calibration lab we offer a calibration hardware kit (CAL-KIT) and METCAL software procedures.
Training
Training is offered on demand or at regular intervals. We run training centers at DEWETRON Ges.m.b.H in Graz/
Austria and at DEWETRON Inc. located in Rhode Island, USA. At both locations there is a nice training facility and class sizes are limited in order to preserve the quality of the presentation. Engineers and technicians from many well-known companies participated our classes.
The trainings help users to stay up to date on the latest enhance- ments and updates as well as become more effective utilizing their DEWETRON systems. The trainings cover effectively using the DEWETRON hardware with DEWESoft software for a wide range of measurement applications. Sub-topics include instru- ment setup, sensor connection as well as digging into math modules, triggers, filtering, shock, vibe, pressure, displacement, stress, strain, video, GPS and more.
Of course onsite training is offered, too.

Standard Models
DEWETRON standard models are predefined configurations which meet the requirements of many applications. Standard Models offer just the level of flexibility that is needed for a defined application. For power measurement, a selected complete system can be ordered as a single item.
For more generic tasks, like data recording, the input ampli- fier modules can be selected according to the sensors used. There are models prepared with isolated DAQP mod- ules for most demanding tasks and performance and there are models prepared with cost-effective differential MDAQ modules for multi-channel measurements.
Award winning DEWESoft software and related options are always included with any standard model and its options.
The computer part of each unit is based on qualified com- mon off-the-shelf hardware. This guarantees cost-effective upgradeability to future generations of processors, provid- ing a secure investment.

Dynamic Signal Analyzer
Dynamic Signal Analyzer Instruments
DEWE-xxx-DSA ... Flexibility as needed
Noise. Vibration. Shock. Recording. These parameters require a DSA (dynamic signal analyzer). That means that the front-end is made exactly to interface with accelerometers and microphones. It also means 24 bit resolution, simultane- ous sampling, and anti-aliasing filtering. DEWETRON builds analyzers for dynamic data, in a variety of form factors. There are standard models from 4 to 48 channels and all run the same easy-to-use software which is suitable for professional users as well as for occasional ones.
MODAL ANALYSIS - There is a wide range of applications in the fields of structural analysis, machinery diagnosis and industrial acoustics. For example modal analysis is needed in every modern construction. The measurement of system parameters, called modal parameters, is essential to predict the behavior of a structure. These modal parameters are
needed also for mathematical models. Parameters like resonant frequency(s), structural damping, and mode shapes are experimentally measured and calculated. DEWETRON provides a complete modal package (hard and software) which is adapted to your application. Starting up from 8 channels used for maintenance, service and troubleshoot- ing till up to 1000 channels used for complex structures. The easy-to-use software is suitable for professional and occasional users.
ROTATIONAL AND TORSIONAL VIBRATION - Rotating machines and engines are sources of Rotational and Torsional Vibration. Rotational vibration is a result of the change in shaft speed during one revolution and torsional vibration is due to angular twist in the shaft or drive train which may cause fatigue. DEWETRON dynamic signal ana- lyzers are all in one measurement instruments which enable you to observe vibration, force, strain, voltage, current, power, CAN data, rotational and torsional vibration at the same time.
ORDER TRACKING - Very often errors and unobvious faults on rotating machines can be seen easier during the run up and run down. One method to analyze these conditions is order tracking. With this method you can separate frequency components which are related to engine speed and which are related to structure.
BALANCING - Another typical DSA application is balancing. It is well-known that the vibrations of the steering wheel of a car depend on different speeds. But why? Why are some machines louder than others although they work at the same speed? And why do vibrations on the chassis of rotating machines occur depending on certain speeds?
One of the reasons for all these phenomena is unbalance. Very often unbalance reduces the lifespan of machines, which causes very high service costs or in some cases even the end of life of the machines. DEWETRON DSA instru- ments provide a very easy to use and straightforward tool for single and dual plane balancing.

Combustion Analyzer
Combustion Analyzer Instruments
DEWE-xxx-CA ... Multi measurements and flexibility
DEWETRON Combustion Analyzer systems are used for engine research, development and optimization as well as for component development and testing, such as ignition systems, exhaust systems and valve control gear.
There are several standard models in a variety of form fac- tors. The portable versions are really great for mobile testing of all types of combustion engines, such as car, truck, ship, motorcycle, power-saw…
All systems sample each channel with up to 1 MS/s and at 16 bit resolution for precise results. A wide charge input range from 100 to 1.000.000 pC with additional features like offset and customized range is available to connect any pressure sensor. Virtually any angle sensor can directly be connected to these instruments, no matter if there is an encoder on a test rig or if the vehicles gearwheel with missing teeth must be used (like 60-2, 36-1 … free programmable).
CAN, video, Ethernet and the integration within a test rig are supported, too.
The DEWETRON CA instruments support angle and time based measurements and use highly improved algorithms for online mathematics and statistics – calculating heat release and further thermodynamic parameters. The easy to use software ensures short learning time and offers user definable displays for convenient online view of data. Offline calculation and the export to several file formats are included.
DEWETRON CA instruments are the optimal fit in engine research, development and optimization because of its powerful analysis capabilities for many engine parameters and characteristics and the capability to measure syn- chronous additional signals beyond engine combustion. Easy expansion is possible for e.g. combined testing of hybrid powertrains with electrical power analysis functions, sound and vibration, rotational and torsional vibration, drivability with GPS and camera and more. DEWETRON CA instruments are flexible and powerful enough to perform multiple measurements at once saving valuable test time and cost.
