How the Swedish Bank Research Foundation (Bankforskningsinstitutet, BFI) processes your personal data

Information according to the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679)

Personal data that you supply when submitting this application, or any other personal data that is registered as part of the application process, is processed for the purpose of assessing your entitlement to a grant, and for other administrative purposes regarding the grant. Your personal data may also be processed in order for the BFI to fulfil its obligations in accordance with the law, other regulations or decisions by a statutory authority. This may include the processing of data in order to fulfil obligations under the Swedish Accounting Act or the Swedish Money Laundering Act, or for submitting reports to the Swedish Tax Agency, the Swedish Police, the Swedish Enforcement Authority, the Financial Supervisory Authority and other authorities.

To ensure proper file maintenance, personal data may be supplemented with data obtained from private and public registers, such as address updates via the Swedish Population Address Register Board (SPAR).

Personal data will be supplied for the purposes specified to Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ), 502032-9081 ("SEB"), and the application process will be administered by SEB on behalf of BFI.

The personal data will be stored as long as needed to fulfil the specified purposes, and to enable BFI to meet its legal obligations. The data that we collect and the data that is generated when you apply for a grant are processed for different purposes. Accordingly, they are also saved for different periods of time, depending on what they are used for and our obligations under the law. Unless we specify otherwise, we save most of your data for the foreseeable future. The data we collect to meet legal obligations is saved as long as the current law requires. Otherwise we never save personal data longer than we need to.

You have a right to know which of your personal data are processed by BFI. This means you are entitled to:

a) request a copy of the personal data held about you b) request correction of incorrect or incomplete information c) request erasure or restriction of the processing of personal data d) object to processing of your data.

Your request and/or objection as per above will be assessed by the BFI on a case-specific basis. If you wish to order a copy of the personal data held about you or submit a request and/or an objection, please send a written and signed request to SEB Private Banking, Stiftelser, 106 40 Stockholm. Specify that the request regards BFI.

Consent to processing of personal data

By signing the application form you consent to the personal data provided in your application being processed for the purposes specified above.

You have a right, at any time, to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data. If you withdraw consent, please note that BFI shall no longer be legally entitled to process these personal data, meaning that the data can no longer be used as a basis for your application.
