This thesis involve adult persons with Spina bifida. Spina bifida is a congenital spinal cord malformation which entails physical disabilities and cognitive im-pairment of varying degree. As the number of adults living with Spina bifida is increasing, it is important to improve knowledge about this population’s health and living conditions, by mapping these and their situated lived ex-periences in everyday life through active community engagement. This was done by a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, including the participatory method photovoice. This thesis adds knowledge about adult persons with Spina bifida and their experiences of everyday life.
