Origin and Location

UniTS - Università del Terzo Settore is a not-for-profit

organisation founded in 1996.

Among its members there are

volunteer organizations, public and private institutions and local

authorities.

We are based in Pisa, Tuscany region.

We work almost all over the country, thanks to the different local offices

Mission

Uni.TS aims at strengthening the role and improving the efficiency of the Not-for-profit

Sector in Italy through the development of research and high quality training for Not-for-

profit Sector’s operators

Objectives

 To increase research in the Not-for-Profit Sector

 To promote and organise different training modules and seminars supporting the professional

development of people working in the Not-for-Profit Sector.

 To promote and support projects in the Not-for-Profit Sector at local, national and European level.

 To promote activity of fundraising

 To monitor the implementation of specific laws for the Not-for-Profit Sector

Technical assistance

UniTS provides technical assistance for project proposal and fundraising to associations, organisations and public

bodies at local level working in the voluntary service and in the NP Sector

Consulting

UniTS advices local administrations and the public health service for the development and implementation of

projects with voluntary associations, in accordance with national laws.

Project planning

UniTS plans and implements national and international projects, also in cooperation with associations and

institutions of the NP Sector.

On their behalf, UniTS can take care of all stages of project implementation as well as of single phases

(partner finding, planning, project coordination, implementation of activities, financial management).
